Colombia Arturo Arango
CRISP, CLEAN, DIALLED, PREMIER PLUS+
A natural Castillo from Arturo Arango’s El Paraíso in Barcelona, Quindío. Arturo found specialty coffee while studying in Argentina, then came home, bought a 25-hectare farm of tired old trees and replanted every one. Three years later the new trees fruited, and the results spoke for themselves. Only the ripest cherries get picked, then they’re fermented in open air and dried whole in the fruit. That gives you sweet mandarin up front, a grape-lolly punch, and a Passiona-style passionfruit finish. Brought in by our mates at Cofinet, just up the road in Marrickville. Heavy Weight is the everyday; this one’s for when good isn’t good enough.
